Looking after our Disabled Children
Up till now our disabled children had no car seat specifically designed for their distinct needs in the vehicle. This has now changed with a range of car seats available from Medena. These are the award winning BeSafe car seats specially modified by experts in the field AND tested for safety. Prices available on request. For more information please contact Peggie.

Educating Kids At Schools About Buckling Up
Online insurer dotsure.co.za and NGO Wheel Well have joined forces to ensure that families are able to comply with the new legislation which now also states that every child under the age of 3 years must be strapped into an appropriate car safety seat or booster seat to help prevent serious injury in the event of a collision.
As part of the Car Seat Safety Cause, dotsure.co.za and Wheel Well will be visiting schools to talk to scholars about the importance of being in the right car seat, as well as buckling up. These talks will be held at various Primary Schools, in line with the dotsure.co.za Car Seat Safety Cause which was launched in September 2015 during Child Passenger Safety Week.
Child safety advocate, Peggie Mars, will share a presentation on child car seat safety. Kids also hear Nicole’s story. Nicole is a truly inspirational young lady who – as a young teenager – experienced firsthand the dangers of not buckling up.
Through these school talks, dotsure.co.za encourages each learner to become a dotsure defender by making buckling up a habit and reminding all passengers to always buckle up – even on short trips.
Peggie says, “Just taking a few minutes before you set off on your car journey – no matter how short – to properly strap your child in can mean the difference between life and death or severe and debilitating injury for your child.”
